Wendy Goldberg, Founder & President

Wendy is the Founder of The Benjamin Goldberg Foundation (BGF) and hosts the Sundays with Wendy podcast, where she explores the transformative power of the healing arts. A lifelong learner and advocate for well-being, she can often be found in a studio continuing her studies in Pilates, Yoga, and Ballet.

Wendy is also President of W.C. Goldberg & Co., PC, and since graduating from Old Dominion University in 1996, her entrepreneurial spirit has guided her career as a CPA and trusted business advisor.

Active in the community, Wendy currently serves as Treasurer for the Ronald McDonald House of Norfolk, VA, Past President of the Board of Trustees for Strelitz International Academy, Treasurer of MOJO Health, Member of the Advisory Council for Richmond Ballet, The State Ballet of Virginia, and Past Chair of the Development Advisory Board for Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.

Sheetal Ajmani, MD, Medical Advisor

Dr. Sheetal Ajmani is a pediatrician, trauma-informed mind-body practitioner, and expert in evidence-based practices integrating eastern and western approaches to healing, well-being, and self-care. Since 2023, she has served as the Medical Advisor for the Benjamin Goldberg Foundation, advancing its mission to expand access to the healing arts for children, caregivers, and communities.

In her role, she curates and moderates educational events and conferences for healthcare professionals and the public, highlighting the healing arts and social prescribing as transformative approaches to addressing social determinants of health. She authors the monthly “Know the Facts” series for the Peace Out Portal, translating the latest science into practical tools and strategies. Additionally, Dr. Ajmani collaborates with key regional and national stakeholders to develop pilot programs, advocate for the healing arts, and expand educational opportunities in social prescribing.

As an experienced speaker and coach, Dr. Ajmani is passionate about trauma-sensitive self-care practices, work-life integration, and women’s leadership. She brings a holistic perspective to her work, drawing on her expertise in yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, and is dedicated to empowering others through connection and evidence-based solutions.

Jennifer Chapman, Programs & Communications Manager

Jennifer is a passionate non-profit arts administrator with nearly a decade of experience fostering connections between people and communities through the arts. She has contributed her talents to organizations such as Richmond Ballet, The Chrysler Museum of Art, The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, Arts for Learning, WHRO, and Virginia MOCA.

Her professional journey includes cultivating partnerships, surpassing engagement and development goals, and excelling in large-scale project management and community relations. Jennifer’s expertise is complemented by her long-time involvement in the Hampton Roads arts community, where she has served on boards, organized community arts initiatives, and facilitated meaningful dialogues around the arts.

In her role as Programs and Communications Manager, Jennifer plays a pivotal role in advancing the foundation’s mission. She oversees event planning, marketing, and graphic design, supports development efforts, and produces impactful projects. Her strategic insight ensures the foundation’s success in bringing healing arts to healthcare and community spaces.

Loretto Dalmazzo, Executive Administrator

Loretto Dalmazzo is a dedicated nonprofit professional with extensive experience in marketing, strategic communications, program management, and community outreach. Her experience as a marketing coordinator for Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E., allowed her to collaborate closely with philanthropy, events, and outreach teams to develop campaigns and initiatives that strengthened donor and community relationships. She has leveraged her project management and content strategy skills to support brands in the wellness and holistic health space, creating authentic messaging that resonates with diverse audiences.  

Loretto's passion for wellness extends beyond her professional work. She is currently pursuing a certification in Somatic Movement and Healing and is an advocate for integrating practices like breathwork, somatic movement, and meditation into community programs, believing that these approaches can empower individuals on their wellness journeys. 

 In addition to her program management and wellness expertise, Loretto brings exceptional organizational and communication skills to her role, making her an invaluable resource for the Benjamin Goldberg Foundation. She is enthusiastic about fostering collaboration within the community and building initiatives that inspire holistic well-being and healing.

Junior Advisory Council

The Benjamin Goldberg Foundation's Junior Advisory Council (lovingly called JAC) was founded in 2018 by peers of Ben. JAC now boasts over 20 members ages 13-18. These young adults support the Foundation's mission to inspire and empower children, caregivers, and communities through education, integrative programming, and advocacy of the healing arts through fundraising, community engagement, volunteerism, and spreading awareness of the healing arts in healthcare.
