What is a Mitzvah Project?
A mitzvah is a good deed done from religious duty. The Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony marks the passage of the child into Jewish adulthood. By Jewish standards, this means they are now responsible for their behavior, and for carrying out mitzvot. Many children take on a service project, which can include choosing a charity in support of their Mitzvah Project.

On 11/21/2020 Avi became a Bar Mitzvah with most of his friends and family via Zoom. A childhood friend of Ben's, Avi chose for his Mitzvah Project to bring awareness to the healing benefits of the creative arts therapies and our mission. The generous donations that he raised will directly support the Benjamin Goldberg Playroom at CHKD.
